hey, i'm tyler!
nice to meet you, and welcome to my corner of the internet!
Let's start with introductions! Since you’re here (glad to have you…), you might be looking for answers to one of the questions below. I've made a little FAQ section, but if you’ve got something else in mind, reach out at tyler.x.song (at) gmail.com!
Who are you?
I'm Tyler: book lover, part-time gardener, sustainable urban planning advocate, aspiring Italian chef, and amateur photographer. I'm also a high school student from Maryland who codes and designs on the side. I enjoy building & creating in all mediums, whether that's paper, pixels, breadboards, or beyond. I love falling into the small details of whatever I'm making—that's where I find the most satisfaction, improving my work bit-by-bit.
When I'm not on the hunt for the perfect shade of orange¹ for my latest design project, you can find me biking the Capital Crescent Trail, cooking up wonton soup, tending to my tomatoes², or diving into a new horror novel.
Where are you?
I'm currently located in the DMV (Washington, D.C.) area.
How are you?
Good, thanks for asking!
Work?
It's all around you! Click & drag to move around. Many projects have case studies, extra photos, analysis, etc. inside. Go and explore!
What's your design philosophy?
My style leans towards colorful & playful, usually with a hint of whimsy. Currently trying to focus more on the accessibility & user research / user experience side of things. If that sounds good to you, see below…
1: still looking, btw…
2: the tomatoes are growing really quickly! so are everyone's expectations—the stakes are high (figuratively and literally)
3: #1 social network, honestly.
